“Cinema” Wins the Pune Divisional Final of Lokasatta Lokankika 2023.

‘Cinema’ of Marathwada Mitramandal College of Commerce (MMCC) emerged as the best in the Pune regional finals of the ‘Loksatta Lokankika-2023’ intercollegiate on-act play competition. The one-act has now qualifies for the grand finale of ‘Loksatta Lokankika-2023” in Mumbai. Modern College, Ganeshkhind’s ‘Failsafe’ wins 2nd place and Shankarrao Chavan Law College’s ‘Ravayat-e-  virasat’ wins the third rank in the regional finals held on Sunday at Sakal Lalit Kalaghar, Mukundnagar. Following teams were competing each other to win the spot for Grand Final to be held at Mumbai.

All the five teams had prepared thoroughly to win the divisional final. All the artists were very enthusiastic in their presentation on stage.

The final was performed in an atmosphere of cheering, applause from the audience. Writer, director Varun Narvekar and veteran actress Shubhangi Damle examined the regional finals and announced ‘Cinema’ as the winner of the Pune regional round.

Writer-Director Digpal Lanjekar and Bharti University Prof. Milind Joshi were present to distribute prizes to winner.

‘In the finals, there were very good one-act performances. Students should carefully consider and study the medium of One-Acts and present it’ said actress Shubhangi Damle, ‘Students performed well in the final round. The subjects varies, students should consider the use of space, pay attention to writing.  Need to increase reading, watching more one-act’s Varun Narvekar expressed his thoughts.
